Damai Beach Resort is owned and operated by Sara Resorts Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC).

SEDC, established in 1972, is a state-owned statutory body with the general aim to promote commercial, industrial and socio-economic development of Sarawak, Malaysia.

SEDC acts as a catalyst for investments in Sarawak by providing one-stop advice on business opportunities and where necessary, serving as a joint-venture partner in a broad spectrum of industries.
